When I look at this ball of think of fortune. A fortune teller says they can tell you the future through a crystal ball. This is a crystal ball for decoration, but it reminds me of a fortune teller. Another thing I'm reminded of when looking at this crystal ball is rain. The "bubbles" inside look like they have rain droplets stuck in them. This crystal ball reminds me of fun days in the rain and the future.
Childhood (Mezzotint)
Night Sky
Marbles are always a fun toy to play with. Although this specific marble is for decoration, I remember playing with dozens of marbles when I was little. Building structures for the marbles to roll through was one of my favorite things to do with them. I chose this marble because it reminds me of the night sky, because of the blue and black mix. Blue is also one of my favorite colors, so this marble stood out to me.
Peaceful (Mosaic)
Maybe!
Recently, my family acquired the "Maybe" button. When you press the big yellow circle with "Maybe!" on it, a voice says "Maybe". In my household, we use this button whenever asked a yes/no question that we would answer maybe to. Something this button reminds me of is quiet. By having this button nearby to push, I don't have to talk or make a lot of noise when answering a question. This gives me a sense of peace.
Danger (Color-halftone)
No!
The "No" button has been with my family since I was little. When you push the big red circle, a voice says "No!" Even though this can get repetitive, the voice has different sayings. The voice can fluctuate to have different meaning, or repeat it self by saying "No no no no no." This button gives of a sense of negativity because it's a big red button, which we usually associate with danger, and it say "No!" on it.
Diversity in a Button (Pointillize)
Yes!
Yes is a word used often by all. Every language has a different word for it, but they all mean the same thing. This button generates positivity and diversity. By looking at the "Yes!" printed on this button I think of all the languages I can say yes in. French; "oui", Spanish; "si", and so on. This gives me a sense of diversity because everyone can understand what "Yes" means.
